About five years ago I was introduced to the Japanese form of braid making known as Kumihimo. “Kumi himo” is Japanese for ‘gathered threads”. From the moment I started braiding I was enamored with the technique. Using a wooden tool called a marudai, I can produce magnificent necklaces and bracelets.
